If you're planning a visit to World Expo 2025 Osaka, make sure the Australia Pavilion is at the top of your list! With its welcoming energy, immersive experiences, and rich cultural storytelling, the pavilion invites you to explore the very best of Australia – a nation defined by innovation, diversity, and a deep connection to the land.
A pavilion inspired by nature
Inspired by the natural beauty and colours of the eucalyptus blossom, the pavilion’s striking architecture sets the scene for what’s inside: a journey across Australia guided by the sun. From the moment you enter, you’ll be taken on a multisensory adventure that follows the arc of sunlight across vast landscapes – from coral reefs and starry desert skies to coastal forests and sunlit cities. Along the way, you’ll gain insights into tens of thousands of years of First Nations knowledge, offering ancient wisdom for a more sustainable future.
Live culture, every day

At the heart of the Australia Pavilion is a celebration of culture. Every day, the forecourt stage will come alive with performances from some of Australia’s most exciting artists, musicians, and storytellers.
Among the featured performers are Eden Annesley and Lola, the duo behind Duo Aki – a cross-cultural collaboration born from shared experiences in both Australia and Japan. Their show, before/now/after, blends saxophone, violin, shakuhachi (Japanese bamboo flute), and live looping with visual art to create an immersive journey through time, identity, and place. Drawing on Japanese folk influences and Australia’s diverse landscapes, their performance offers a fresh take on contemporary storytelling.
From 2–4 May, sports fans can also catch high-energy demonstrations from AFL Japan, offering a taste of one of Australia’s most beloved sports – Australian Rules Football. Whether you're already a fan or completely new to the game, it's a chance to experience the excitement of AFL up close.
Adding to the spectacle, on 4 May, the Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair Foundation will present a special First Nations Fashion Runway, showcasing cutting-edge Indigenous design in a dazzling presentation that blends culture, fashion, and storytelling.
Whether it’s music, dance, fashion, or sport – every performance is a window into the spirit of Australia.
A taste of Australia

Food lovers will feel right at home in Café Koko, where Australia’s café culture is served up with a twist. Enjoy honey-glazed lamb ribs, pepper berry salmon bowls, or a classic meat pie with a flat white on the side. The pavilion’s culinary program is led by renowned chef Andrew Ballard, who’ll be bringing a taste of Australia to the pavilion with sustainable, regionally inspired menus.
Various guest chefs will also take the stage throughout the Expo period, offering live cooking demonstrations that spotlight bold Australian flavours, native ingredients, and innovative culinary techniques.
And of course, no visit would be complete without meeting our beloved mascots – Ruby the Souvenir Kangaroo and Koko the Koala who will be there to greet guests, and pose for plenty of photos. Whether you're young or just young at heart, Ruby and Koko are here to make your visit unforgettable.
With over 15,000 visitors expected each day, and a vibrant program of events running from 13 April to 13 October 2025, the Australia Pavilion promises something for everyone. It’s more than just an exhibition – it’s an invitation to feel the warmth of Australia, experience its creativity, and discover how a sunlit country on the other side of the world is connecting with people, ideas, and possibilities for the future.
