South Australia's innovative economy and thriving business community continues to grow thanks to the state’s unique suite of targeted investment support, vast natural resources and high-capacity developed infrastructure.

Boasting greater affordability and more competitive labour costs than other major Australian capital cities, South Australia is the perfect place to bring ambition to life.

The state is world-renowned for its collaborative ecosystem that provides industries with access to the best minds in business, academia, research and government – supported by a network of state-of-the-art research and innovation districts.

We are globally recognised for our premium food and wine, abundant natural and renewable energy resources; our leadership in defence, space, health and medical industries; our capabilities in the hi-tech and creative industries sectors and our world-class higher education institutes.

Backed by an ambitious renewable energy generation target of 100 per cent by 2027, South Australia’s leadership as a renewable energy powerhouse fits seamlessly with the Australian Pavilion’s theme of ‘Chasing the Sun’.

Further supported by the State Government’s Hydrogen Jobs Plan and new Hydrogen and Renewable Energy Act, the industry is poised to unleash huge new investments in renewable energy.

South Australia is a place of connection for future-focused industries, and we’re excited to connect with you at Expo 2025 Osaka.

“South Australia’s tremendous commitment to pioneering investment opportunities, particularly through renewable energy, will be on show for the world to see at the 2025 World Expo in Osaka, Japan," Minister for Trade and Investment, Nick Champion said.

“The Expo is also a valuable opportunity to further strengthen our significant trade and investment relationship between South Australia and Japan.

“I would like to thank Senator Don Farrell for the opportunity to partner with the Federal Government to promote our state’s capabilities.”
