Joel’s lyrics and music are a journey in storytelling and blending of cultural influences, from his Tongan and Dutch heritage, Australian upbringing and world travels, mirroring the many cultural influences present in modern-day Australia.
Joel's music is best described as a soulful mix of blues, roots and reggae held together by a rock-solid Polynesian groove.
